As artists, you put your heart and soul into your work, and yet you tend to sell out.
The price of a work of art may seem excessive to the general public, but it is often well below the cost actually invested by the artist.
Merchandising (merchandising items such as books, postcards, T-shirts, mugs, calendars, etc.) can be interesting if well chosen. It all depends on what you do. A street artist may well develop a range of T-shirts or caps bearing his or her image, which would be less suitable for a landscape painter.
Derivative printing makes it possible to offer more accessible products based on your work, as well as advertising for you.
